Our target of Net Zero Carbon

Whilst we offer many different property services, one that sits close to our heart is the opportunity to reach a target of net zero carbon homes – a greener UK. Going back to our roots, EPCs are still a core service offering for our team. The question we kept asking ourselves was how we contribute to a greener UK and make it easier for your customers to upgrade their ratings without breaking the bank.

Corporate Social Responsibilities

ECONOMICAL

We endeavour to consistently run our business at a high efficiency level in order to generate a steady flow of profitability. We aim to establish and maintain a strong competitive position. This will then create jobs and provide investment. Our end goal is not to simply maximise profits, but to positively impact the environment, people, and society.

2

ETHICAL

We are fully committed to reducing our environmental impact across the scope of our operation and through services we deliver to customers. Our company recognises the need to protect the natural environment. We understand keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a benefit to all. We conduct our business in an open, honest, and ethical manner and actively strive to implement anti-corruption practices and socially responsible supply chains.

3

LEGAL

We will operate in conjunction with government and legal expectations and display complete compliance with all official regulations. We recognise that legal considerations are necessary for our success.

4

PHILANTHROPIC

We will give back to society by reducing fuel poverty and helping people to get out of the vulnerable / low-income sector by reducing household bills and providing greater warmth during the colder seasons. We are committed to developing a diverse and enabled workforce from the widest talent pools and promote equal opportunities for all.

What are we doing?

Forest
Trees

We are committed to minimising our environmental impact. Working with our suppliers and selected partners, we will continue to reduce our carbon emissions and waste. We are continually looking to utilise the latest technologies to improve our environmental sustainability.

Our actions will help to tackle climate change and protect nature.

Detailed below are some of the measures we have taken to minimise our environmental impact:

  • We send electronic invoices to customers and utilise digital survey tools and software to reduce paper consumption.

  • We implement energy-efficient practices, such as using energy-saving appliances and lighting.

  • We promote recycling and proper disposal of electronic devices and batteries.

  • We optimise travel routes and encourage remote consultations or virtual surveys to reduce  carbon emissions.

  • We choose eco-friendly materials for surveying equipment when possible.

  • We educate our staff on environmentally friendly practices and encourage eco-conscious behaviour.

  • We use hybrid or electric vehicles for field surveys to decrease carbon emissions and help the environment.

  • We use different bins for various recyclables, fostering a culture of recycling.

  • We explore partnerships with suppliers who prioritise sustainable and eco-friendly products.

Environmental & Sustainability Policy

Our priority is to minimise our environmental impacts through the development and operation of good business practices.

Our goal is to promote sustainability and environmental awareness at all levels of the business by:

  • Complying with all relevant environmental legislation and sustainability commitments

  • Ensuring environmental risks are identified, prioritized and managed in an appropriate and timely manner

  • Establishing sound environmental management policies and promoting best practice

  • Managing our operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable and economically feasible

  • Making efficient and environmentally responsible use of all resources and exploiting every opportunity to maximise efficiency

  • Minimising environmental impact and reducing or where practicable, preventing pollution

  • Developing effective waste management and recycling procedures

  • Working to increase the amount of waste diverted for recycling and identify opportunities to minimise the waste produced

  • Collaborating with all suppliers to promote environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services

  • Promoting and supporting alternatives to business travel

  • Incorporating energy efficiency measures into the company’s facilities and promoting efficient energy use in all areas of business activity

  • Actively monitoring results and audit policies and practices to ensure UPS meets its policy goals

  • Pursuing a programme of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing our environmental & sustainability policy and related objectives and target, policies, and practices

  • Recognising the legitimate interest that all its stakeholders including customers, colleagues and suppliers have in its environmental performance and communicate openly with all parties.

The Senior Management team at Uplift Property Services give their full support to the implementation of these principles.
